But God | camp reflection

You are here! was our JV Camp theme for this summer. It was an opportunity for us to build trust and community, sharing Jesus through English, music, and sports with students to see where they are, and where they want to be. In hopes with each of them leaving camp having a personal relationship with God through our stories and the story of Paul.

“I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but God who gives the growth.” – 1 Cor. 3:6-7

These humbling verses spoke volumes to my faith this summer. We were invited to be part of building His kingdom, yet, never knew what our role would be in a person’s life, or how God would use us each day at camp. But we were prepared to “plant” or “water” as the Lord led. And when chaos incurred due to schedules or plans being changed or not prepared, or the electricity went out, God still showed up and allowed us to be part of His master plan.

1 Corinthians 3:9 reads, “For we are all God’s fellow workers. You are God’s field, God’s building!” And, it’s true. Not just me, but each of you have been part of this summer’s experience. I praise God for allowing me to plant and water, and humbling me to watch Him be all present, all knowing, and all-powerful as He builds His Kingdom in Central and Eastern Europe.
