It has been a week since Dana, Nate and Daniel arrived in Poland. They have been a huge blessing to serve alongside our ministry with Josiah Venture.
I thank God for bringing us together with the gifts each of them bring to the camp:
Dana – as a coach, she brings patience, encouragement and understanding with a fun sense of humor.
Nate – with his great soccer skills, and a man of wisdom, is connecting well with many of the players as they teach him the culture
Daniel – has the gift of teaching and is leaning in on learning the language, as he befriends many students.
These three are stepping into a group of kids that need encouragement to learn skills like passing and working as a team that we take for granted. The soccer players they are coaching, don’t have organized sports in their schools, so most play “pick-up” ball and want to be like their soccer idols. And, nine are from an orphanage.
The language and culture can be tiring but these three are making a huge difference in these students life through soccer, sharing their lives and relationship they have with Jesus.
Please keep them in your prayers as the week goes on they will need strength and power that only God can give them.
