“I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.” – Psalm 9:1
It was a great adventure sharing what God is doing in Central & Eastern Europe before, during & after our JV Recruitment Tour. And I welcome you to experience a passage from pray4mike.com.
Before the tour
I was able to visit & attend my friend’s, Jany & Lenka’s Slovak wedding, & catch up with several youth leaders. It was a nice to celebrate their marriage, & see how God is moving among the youth groups there! After the wedding, I met Jany & Lenka in Atlanta to start our JV Recruitment Tour.
During the Tour
The tour provided an opportunity for us to invite college students to become a summer intern with JV. And, along the way, find short-term teams to come over, raise support, & allow Jany to introduce his bride, Lenka, to supporters.
We shared about the 32.5 million young people who live in Central-Eastern Europe, with less then 1% having a personal relationship with the Lord. And, that the majority of that 1% are first generation Christians.
In addition, we shared how the Lord is moving among the youth, & invite you to view some of those video testimonies.
We traveled over 21,000 miles, slept in 11 different places, visited 6 campuses, 4 college ministries, & spoke to over 425 students.
Will you join us in praying that many students will apply & be accepted, & that we will be 100% financially supported by the end of the year? In addition, if you know of any college student who’d be interested in experiencing a cross-cultural summer ministry, working with youth to share about Jesus, please have them visit JV Internship.
After the Tour
Jany & Lenka were given a gift from a friend of mine to have their honeymoon in Florida. So after the tour, I dropped them off for a few days on the beach, while I visited with supporters & ministries. Then, we met up afterwards, & all returned home.
