“…This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” – Neh. 8:10b
I hope you and your loved ones had a blessed Thanksgiving! I believe we all have so much to be thankful for, and I’m grateful for your support as you continue to make eternal investments through my ministry with Josiah Venture.
As you know, I’m currently raising support to get to Wheaton, IL by February to serve our team from this side of the ocean. If you’d like to invest in my ministry, either by giving monthly, or one time, or an end-of-the year gift, please give.
Since returning to the States, there has been a recurring theme I’ve seen and heard many times, and it’s about “happiness.” Phil, from Duck Dynasty always says, “happy, happy, happy.” Coca Cola and their polar bears believe we can find happiness in their product. And, with the holiday season upon us, many of us will seek happiness and joy. But in what? Or in who?
I know this holiday season will be tough on many families, including mine. However, scripture tells us that the joy of the Lord is our strength. And, I’m finding comfort, from the Holy Spirit, a gift from God, that no matter what circumstance you or I are currently in, we can find true happiness, or joy, or gladness in the Lord, who came in the form of a baby boy!
So, as we wait to celebrate the birth of our Savior, may we rejoice in Him every day for all He has done, does, and will continue to do for His purpose and glory.
From my family to yours, Merry Christmas
“But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” – Luke 2:10-12
