Dear faithful friend,
Earlier this year, we celebrated 10 years of our joint partnership here in Slovakia with Josiah Venture! And I want to say thank you again for your support. We created a model ministry that is being used across Slovakia through our English Camps and follow up programs, that this summer we will do the most camps ever, 13! We pioneered a similar model ministry for Serbia that included a cross-cultural missions trip that brought nationals from Slovakia and the Czech Republic to help in this endeavor, that this summer they will do 6 camps!
We began the EXIT Tour ministry in 2010, where we’ve been in 9 towns, together with 23 churches, visited 30 schools and spoke to over 10,500 students. We had over 590 professions of faith at the schools, and 633 young people have prayed with a volunteer at one of the concerts. In addition, we’ve shared the Gospel to 101 parents during one of our EXIT Tour Parent Night programs as well.
On a local level, the two youth groups that I’ve been apart over the years are both growing and flourishing. I praise and thank the Lord for allowing me to be part of building His kingdom by training, inspiring and helping each of their leadership teams grow in their faith. And, leading others into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ through evangelism and discipleship.
And, while serving on the Bteam (JV Care Team), I created a communication package that is being used today to tell the JV Story to all of our supporters all over the world.
It is for this celebration, that I thank God, and you for all He has done through our ministry together, and to share some news as well.
Over a year, I’ve sensed the Lord preparing me for a new season/chapter of life/ministry. And, after my father’s passing, it became clearer to me that I now share with you.
In July, I’ll be returning to the States for a home assignment. During this three month assignment, it will give me time to rest, grieve my father’s passing, help my mom, and seek the Lord on what He is calling me to in this next chapter of ministry/life, specifically praying about staying with Josiah Venture in a role on our care team in the States. And by the first of October, I’ll be able to share where He is leading me.
In addition, in the fall, I will also help strengthen the Slovak ministry by raising awareness of our ministry in Slovakia, recruiting for staff and interns during our JV Fall Recruitment tour, and helping our JV Nationals raise funds.
As you can see these last 10 years has been a fruitful and amazing adventure serving the Lord together to reach the youth of Slovakia for Him. I believe I’ve set out and accomplished what I was called to do, and have transferred my responsibilities over to JV nationals and others who are equipped and taking ownership of these ministries.
As I prepare to transition back to the States, I’d ask that you please continue to invest in my ministry with your prayers, encouragements, and financial investments.
If you have any questions, please let me know, and I’ll be glad to contact you over the phone, skype or email.
Again, I thank you for your continued support and look forward to visiting many of you and sharing more in the months to come.
Blessings from Slovakia,
