“Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own town, among his relatives and in his own home.” – Mark 6:4
One of the hardest things for many Christian Slovak young people is being 1st generation Christians in their households. I hear many times, how their families don’t understand why they go to church, are involved in small groups, and spend so much time with other believers. In fact, I have one friend whose parents would rather see him go to a pub and discos. And for many, their biggest prayer is to see their families come to know Christ.
Most of you know my friend Mato, whom accepted Christ over a year ago and who I recently went on vacation with. One of his and his brother’s prayers has been to see their parents have a personal relationship with the Lord. In January, I asked you to be in prayer for his family as his father has been seeking truth only because the Father is seeking Him. (Luke 19:10)
Two weeks ago, Mato called to tell me that he and his father went to church together. And they also went to church this past Sunday…Praise God! And, keep praying for this great family.
